Pilates

 

 

Danielle is a comprehensively certified instructor through Balanced Body University, and a specialist in Pilates based education for neurological conditions.  She is a firm believer in the body and mind connection, and feels that Pilates is a catalyst for improving overall health and balance. Danielle teaches a blend of the classical and contemporary Pilates repetoire, in addition to modified and additional exercises; she understands that each body is unique, and tailors her workouts accordingly.

Her clients have ranged in age from 15-87, come from a variety of professional backgrounds, and have conditions including low back pain, herniated discs, osteoporosis, stenosis, fibromyalgia, hip replacements and labral tears, ACL repairs, shoulder impingement, stroke and many more. Danielle has taken various continuing education courses around Manhattan for injury prevention and conditioning. Most notably, Danielle participated in The FAMI intensive at Mount Sinai hospital, NY; a program for movement professionals to study with top anatomists and doctors in a classroom and laboratory setting with human cadavers. Danielle’s primary focus is alignment, and the proper execution of exercises with breath to help establish a stronger, healthier, and more well-balanced body.
